Enjoy a canal boat holiday from one of our nine stunning hire boat locations in England, Scotland and Wales. As the captain of your own self-drive luxury narrowboat you can set your own itinerary and wake up to an inspiring new view each morning. This holiday suits couples, groups of friends, and families, and you can book a short break or a longer canal holiday. No previous experience is necessary, full coaching will be provided on your arrival.
Our 2025 season has come to an end, thank you to every guest who cruised with us and made it memorable. We return 13 March to 30 October 2026, and we can’t wait to welcome you back on board.

NARROWBOAT HIRE MADE EASY
No previous canal boating experience is necessary with Black Prince Holidays, as full instruction will be given on your arrival no matter whether you’re embarking on a short break or week-long narrowboat holidays. Our British Marine Federation accredited teams will explain the canal boat operation, how to work the locks, plus talk you through your UK canals route plan and give you tips on the best places to moor up and eat etc. Black Prince Holidays also have a 24-hour emergency phone line with a free call-out service.
