FLEXIBLE BREAKS
If you’re looking for a relaxing UK break then you may only want to travel for a few miles before mooring up to enjoy the sights and sounds of a local town or countryside pub. Alternatively, you may wish to make the most of your cruising day and travel some distance. It’s up to you! These canal boat breaks are fully flexible.
You can choose from a short break to a longer holiday and the season usually runs from March through to October. Short breaks start from three nights and you can enjoy a longer holiday of three weeks or more. If you would like to enjoy a longer trip in the UK, then speak to a member of our reservations team to arrange this for you.
We do offer last minute breaks and some holiday deals, however these will be subject to limited availability – peak times do tend to sell very early so we recommend early booking for popular bank holidays and summer holidays. SHORT UK BREAKS

UK STAYCATIONS
Apparently, a staycation is the new vacation! If you’re looking for a new type of summer holiday or bank holiday then a canal boat holiday is a unique way of discovering the UK. Cruising along the waterways at a steady pace allows you to witness the beautiful British countryside from a completely different perspective.

WEEKEND BREAKS
Black Prince offer weekend and midweek breaks throughout the year, from March to the end of October. Weekend breaks can start from a Friday or a Saturday until Monday or Tuesdays and are available over bank holidays and throughout the summer holidays. We’re proud to say that the UK is home to some of the world’s most beautiful historic cities and a canal boat holiday can give you a chance to explore these unique destinations whilst cruising along the canals, with stunning nature serving as your backdrop.
If you’re travelling from outside of the UK, our expert team will help every step of the way – so you don’t need to worry about anything. There are several ways to reach your canal base (your starting point) including UK car hire or by train. If you have any questions at all, our team will be at hand to help and can recommend car hire companies or train lines for your transfer needs.
This type of holiday can be a short break for you, either a weekend or midweek break, perhaps tagged on to another holiday in the UK. Some guests use their boat as a floating holiday home, where family and friends come to the boat during the holiday to meet up and enjoy some family and friends time.
